Peak High School teacher, Cassie Swisher, was recognized by Principal, Tracy de Ryk, as going the extra yard for her students. The College Football Playoff Foundation Extra Yard for Teachers program elevates the teaching profession by inspiring, empowering and recognizing teachers.

Some of the ways Miss Swisher demonstrates her commitment to students includes: staying after school and during lunch so students can finish tests, coming to Saturday School to help students get caught up, being part of the district’s Instruction PLC team, working at WHS sporting events after school and on weekends, covering classes for her teacher peers, not missing a day of work in three years and making over 800 parent contacts to date. Thanks, Miss Swisher!  We appreciate you!
